Funeral for Jackson J. Russell, 72, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cameron Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Jones, pastor, and the Rev. Mike Teel, associate pastor, officiating. Mr. Russell died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at a Lawton hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 18, 1929. He married Mariann Helen Davis on Oct. 13, 1954, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He lived in the Lawton area, and was employed at the Lawton Block Company for 37 years. He was a long-time member of Cameron Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School director and worked in the evangelism ministry. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1954. Survivors include his wife; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Reta Russell, Lawton; two daughters: Pam Blundell, Cartersville, Ga.; and Patricia Herber, Lawton; two sons-in-law: Mark Herber and Terry Blundell; and four grandchildren: Christa Herber, Wes Herber, Cody Herber and Brad Blundell. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; a daughter, Jackie Jo; and a nephew.
