Range Graveside service for Frederick A. Range, 67, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. today at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, with Chaplain Irven Johnson officiating. Mr. Range died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at his home. Arrangements are under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Brainerd, Minn., to Lawrence and Irma Van Orsdel Range. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1955 at St. Cloud, Minn. While in San Diego, he was stationed aboard the USS Kearsarge, the USS Bryce Canyon and the USS Canberra. He served in Korea and Vietnam. His honors include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 1960, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award). He was honorably discharged from the Navy Jan. 12, 1970. He married Dorothy Teague on May 21, 1987, in Olivehurst, Calif. They moved to the Lawton area in 2002. Survivors include his wife, of the home; three stepsons: Peter Hatcher, Redding, Calif.; Cody Teague, Jacksonville, Ark.; and David Teague, Lawton; a brother, Edward Range, Brainerd; and three sisters: Darlene Anderson, Andover, Minn.; Lucy Larrus, San Jose, Calif.; and Dorothy Morse, Marysville, Calif.
