Mr. Runnels died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, in Lawton. ========= Lawton Constitution 24 Apr 2003 Robert F. Runnels Funeral for Robert F. Runnels, 80, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Whinery Huddleston Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Webb officiating. Mr. Runnels died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be at Cache Cemetery. He was born March 12, 1923, in Konowa, to Lillie Mae Carter and Robert F. Runnels Sr. He was a farmer, and later a truck driver and mechanic for various trucking firms. He was a member of Northwest Church of Christ. He married Hazel West, and later married Mary Ann Petty. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law: David and Susan Runnels, Federalsburg, Md.; Rusty and Tina Runnels, Hydro; Dusty and Rhonda Runnels, Thomas; and Billy and Stacy Runnels, Weatherford; two daughters and sons-in-law: Myrtle and Pete Dukes, Seaford, Del.; and Sharon and Donald Dulin, Denton, Md.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Jewell and Joe Williams, Ardmore; and Edna Mae and Vernon Pruitt, Clarksville, Texas; two sisters-in-law: Rita Runnels Swick and her husband, Delbert, Lawton; and Opal Runnels Pierce, Ardmore; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
