Reynolds Memorial service for Robert H. Reynolds, 69, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Alley, pastor, officiating. Mr. Reynolds died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at a local hospital.Arrangements are by Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. He was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Elk City, to Robert Henry and Tensie Meyers Reynolds. He grew up in Lawton, and graduated from Lawton High School in 1952. He attended Juilliard School for Performing Arts for two years, and served in the Army. He danced professionally with his sister, Sonya, before opening a dance studio in Baton Rouge, La. He returned to Lawton in 1972, and taught at Storey and Barton School of Dance. He owned it from 1988 to 1999. He and his partner, Cindy Kensell, taught dance for 25 years. He also taught scuba diving and water safety. He sold yachts and was a boat captain for more than 10 years in the Galveston area. Survivors include his companion, Cindy Kensell, Lawton; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara "Bobbee" and Don Stoetzner, Baton Rouge, La.; two stepsons and daughters-in-law: Dan and Becky Simpkins, Lebanon, Pa.; and Geoff and Shannon Simpkins, Denham Springs, La.; a stepdaughter and son- in-law, Heidi and Rick Davis, Pacific Grove, Calif.; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Rocky and Ferne Patterson, Oklahoma City; and Jim and Jo Ann Reynolds, Frederick; a sister, Sonya Homan, Spring, Texas, and a grandson, Robert "James" Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Claude Patterson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleo Craig Memorial Cancer and Research Clinic, 5002 W. Lee, Lawton 73505.
