All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 6 Jan 2003 Spivey, Mattie "Mama" Jo ELGIN - Funeral for Mattie "Mama" Jo Spivey, 69, Elgin, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cowboy Church, Pool Arena, north of Lawton, with the Rev. Paul Lutz, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Spivey died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in a local hospital. Burial will be at Paradise Valley Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born June 18, 1933, in Walters. She lived in the area most all her life and retired from the Haggar Slacks Co. of Lawton. She also owned and operated the Rock Island Club near Porter Hill since 1969. Survivors include three sons: Steve Morehead, Elgin; Mark Morehead and his wife, Kathleen, Lawton; and Edward Lee Spivey Jr., Elgin; two grandchildren: Mark Anthony Morehead and Cody Neil Elenburg; a brother, Raymond Ratliff, Walters; three sisters: Ruby Tabby and Shirley Ray, both of Lawton; and Bobbie Bennett, California.
