Ken Overturf, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, Fort Smith, Ark., officiating. Mrs. Sisk died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, in Gulfport. Burial will be at Paradise Valley Cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Claud Sisk, of the home; a son, Johnny Vaughn, Bedford, Texas; a grandson, Rickie Rainbolt, Lawton; and a brother, Benson Turnbull, Elgin. Burial will be at Paradise Valley Cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Tishomingo to John and Mary Campbell Turnbull. She grew up near Apache and in 1951 she opened Lois’s Café in Porter Hill. She married Claud Sisk Jan. 24, 1954, in Barling, Ark. In 1956, they were transferred to Germany and then returned to Augusta, Ga., in 1960. She worked for Sears Department Store and retired as a manger of home fashions after 25 years. In 1986, she returned to the Elgin area and then in 1996 she moved to Gulfport, Miss. She was a member of Paradise Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Johnny Vaughn, Bedford, Texas; a brother, Benson Turnbull, Elgin; and a grandson, Rickie Rainbolt, Lawton. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: John and Ted Turnbull; and two sisters: Rose Grant and Alice Mason.
