Shugert Funeral for Andree M. Shugert, 78, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Jones, pastor, Cameron Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Shugert died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Fort Still Post Cemetery. She was born Aug. 9, 1925, in Bapeaume, France, where she was raised. She married retired Sgt. 1st Class Frederick T. Shugert, July 4, 1945 in Rouen, France. He died May 19, 1979. They moved from France to Petersburg, Va., where she became a U.S. citizen. They moved to Lawton in 1958 and remained to raise their family. She worked as a seamstress at Fort Sill, at Kemper's Tailor Shop and many other Lawton cleaners. She retired after 46 years. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law: Fran and Phil Ray, Madison, Wis.; Eileen and Chuck Agnew, Layton, Utah; Patricia and Monty Morrow and Mary Gunnells, all of Lawton; a son and daughter-in- law, Patrick and Shirley Shugert, Lawton; 15 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Henriette and Roger and Camille and Denise; a brother, Gerald Leveau; and many other nieces and nephews, all of France. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Michael Shugert; and a grandson, Jonathan Patrick Thaddeus Shugert.
