All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Walter Scott Services: Thurs., Sept. 26, 1 p.m. Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Walter Scott, 87, who passed away September 22, 2002, in Bakersfield. Mr. Scott was born on December 29, 1914, in Lawton, Oklahoma and resided in Kern County for 56 years. He was self employed as an Entrepreneur for 50 years. He also owned the Rendezvous Cocktail Lounge, Bakersfield Drilling, and an array of vending machines. Mr. Scott was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille and second wife, Helen. Survivors include his daughter, Evelyn Stewart; son, Benny Scott, both of Bakersfield; son, Michael Scott of Ventura; grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews. No visitation is scheduled.
