All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Clifford Joe Scott Services: Friday, Jan. 3, 11 a.m. Clifford was born April 5, 1924, in Sterling, Oklahoma and went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2002, in Bakersfield, CA. Clifford joined the Army in 1943 as a truck driver in combat missions in Southern Philippines, Japan and New Guinea. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with a Bronze Star. He was a soldier in the 41st Infantry. He also enjoyed fishing, auto racing and his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Scott, brother, Gene Scott, and sister, Mary Cammeron. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Alice Scott; daughters, Lynda and husband, Robert Day of Bakersfield, Denise and Ron Grant of Bakersfield; son, Byron and wife, Patricia Scott of Bakersfield; sisters, Geraldine Johnson and Sharon Joe of Bakersfield; five grandchildren, Michelle, Mike, Kris, Matt, Rebecca; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Sasha, Leland, and Sawyer.
