Stott - Blaine Co. LAWTON — Funeral for Jess R. Stott, 89, Lawton, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Thomas W. Smith, minister of Western Hills Christian Church, officiating. Mr. Stott died Sunday, May 5, 2002, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born Jan, 24, 1913, in Canton, to Frank R. and Ethel Stott. He married Berniece S. "Susie" Hinds on Aug. 24, 1934, in Lawton. She died Dec. 12, 1990. He was retired from civil service, and was a charter member of Western Hills Christian Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bernie R. and Janice Stott, Lawton; one grandson, Jess Stott II, Fairview; one granddaughter, Denise Nichols, Moore; three great-grandchildren: Coy Nichols, Taylor Nichols and Rhett Sharp, all of Moore; and a sister, Virgie Cooley, Abilene, Texas.
