"Pete" Setliff, 81, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cache First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Kriss officiating. Mr. Setliff died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in Lawton. Burial with military honors will be at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Creta, to Elvie Clifton and Leonard J. Setliff. He married Emma Jean Griffin on Feb. 14, 1942, in Duke. He served in the Army, and was discharged at Gutlelut Kaseme, Frankfurt, Germany, on Dec. 1, 1963, with the rank of sergeant first class. Awards he received include SS (Carbine), a letter of appreciation, Good Conduct Medal (third award), Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of Cache First Baptist Church, and served as a deacon. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Kay and Loyd Crabb, Sayre; and Donna Germany, Brandon, Miss.; a brother, C.A. Setliff, Highland Springs, Va.; four grandchildren and their spouses: Mark and Tammy Crabb, Newdeal, Texas; Kathy and Al Graham, Little Rock, Ark.; Amy and Brad Milner, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Kyle Germany, Brandon; and two great-grandchildren: Cody Crabb, Newdeal; and Clay Graham, Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; three brothers: Oscar T., Fred D. and Chester R.
