Seitter Funeral for Ruth R. Seitter, 94, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Northwest Church of Christ with Harold McRay officiating. Mrs. Seitter died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, in Weatherford. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born March 7, 1909, in Blue to Ben and Julia Russell. She moved to Lindsay, where she attended several rural schools. She graduated from high school at Hughes Consolidated School southeast of Lindsay. She attended East Central State University and received a bachelor of science degree in 1938. She married W.C. "Bill" Seitter on Dec. 14, 1940, at El Reno. He died Feb. 26, 2002. She taught in several schools in Garvin, Grady, Caddo and Comanche counties. She taught fourth grade most of the years and retired from B.C. Swinney Elementary in 1973 after 34 years. She was a member of Northwest Church of Christ. Survivors include a brother, Otho Russell, Fla.; two sisters-in-law: Freda Dean, Derby, Kan.; and Merle Rinehart, Geary; a brother-in-law, Calvin Seitter, Hinton; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
