All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== RETHA NEOMA STEWART Published on October 10, 1996 The Santa Rosa Press Democrat Retha Neoma Stewart, who enjoyed riding horses on the Santa Rosa ranch she shared with her husband, Virgil Franklin Stewart, died Monday at a Santa Rosa convalescent hospital. Born in Lawton, Okla., 83 years ago, she made clothes for her family as a young woman. She was valedictorian of her high school class in Lawton. She worked for Marin Sanitation Service for 20 years before moving to Santa Rosa 23 years ago. Stewart and her husband were married 64 years. They enjoyed watching people. She also liked to spend time with their grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Santa Rosa. Besides her husband, Stewart is survived by her daughters, Beverly Baker of Sebastopol, and Trellys Henley of Santa Rosa; son, Aaron Stewart of Rohnert Park; brothers, Joseph Shrader and Wayne Shrader, both in Lawton, Okla.; sister, Louise Hoyt of Lawton; 12 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. A viewing will be at 9 a.m. today at the Church of Christ, 1825 Fulton Road in Santa Rosa. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will be at noon at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
