Stewart Funeral for Lettitia E. Stewart, 81, Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Barnett Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Michelle K.T. Moulden, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Stewart died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Jefferson Funeral Home. She was born March 28, 1924 in Hugoton, Kan., to Sandy and Rachel Moon. She graduated from primary and secondary school in Hugoton. She received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Langston University. She married Jesse Stewart II on Nov. 23, 1947. She was a personnel financial specialist at Fort Sill and retired in 1985. She was a member of Barnett Chapel AME Church and was a stewardesss, senior usher and a choir member. Survivors include her husband, Lawton; her children: Jesse Stewart III, Florida; Sheila Stewart-Duncan, Maryland; and Roberto and his wife, Cyndy; three grandchildren: Jesse Christopher, Sebastian and Violeta; three sisters: Estella Thompson and Faye Jackson, both of Missouri; and Eva Garden, Ohio; and many other relatives and friends.
