Schwenk Funeral Mass for John F. Schwenk, 70, Lawton, will be said at 10 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip Seeton, pastor, officiating. Mr. Schwenk died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at a local hospital. Arrangements are by Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 5, 1933, in LaGrange, Ky., to Sam and Mary O’Donahue Schwenk. He attended school at St. Meinard Seminary in Indiana, receiving a degree in philosophy and a second degree in Latin. After serving in the Army, he worked for civil service at Fort Sill for several years until his retirement in the early 1990s. He married Madeline Savage on June 11, 1976, in Oklahoma City. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, John Schwenk Jr. and Tapitha, Lawton; and a daughter, Helen Schwenk, of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: the Rev.
