All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Becker Funeral Home, Inc. - Lawton OK :Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Jewell Wren Sartin Age 92, Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. William F. Watkins, Associate Pastor, First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Sartin died Tuesday in Lawton. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born September 25, 1912 at Wolfe City, Texas, to Nathan Hall and Eugenia Starkey. She moved with her family to Madill, Oklahoma, where she graduated high school in 1933. She later moved to Muskogee and to Lawton in 1947 and was employed for J.C. Penney’s for many years before retiring in November of 1972. She was married to Wiley B. Sartin on November 29, 1930 at Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1991. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Naomi Sunday School Class for many years and was a charter member of OSA Chapter 514 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Wiley Glenn and Mary Jo Sartin, Lawton; a brother, Wayne Starkey, Madill, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Tiffany Phillips and Connie Sartin, both of Los Angeles, California; two great grandsons, Joshua and Drew Phillips, Los Angeles, California.
