Funeral for Betty L. Ticeahkie-Perkaquanard, 65, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Comanche Reformed Church, Lawton. A prayer service will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Mrs. Ticeahkie-Perkaquanard died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, at her home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. She was born Aug. 9, 1937, to Elizabeth Ticeahkie. She married Alvin Perkaquanard on Dec. 1, 1986, in Lawton. She was a former deacon at Comanche Reformed Church, a member of the Comanche War Scouts, the Comanche Raiders of the Southern Plains, and the Oklahoma Inter-Tribal Club. She was a nurses' aide at McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Center for 20 years, before retiring in 1992. She then worked in the Food Distribution Center for the Comanche Nation on the elderly program. She was a descendant of Chief Ten Bears and Chief Comanche Jack Permansu. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Leslie Hernandez, Lawton; two daughters and sons-in-law: Melinda and Bruce Manuel and Anita and Danny Selby, all of Lawton; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Renee and Kevin Hill, Anadarko; her mother, Margaret Pipestem, Lawton; a brother, Blase Pipestem, Oklahoma City; a sister, Tina Pipestem, Lawton; and an aunt, Patricia Murrow, Lawton. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Raymond Hernandez Jr.; her grandmother, Amy Ticeahkie; two uncles: Lindy Ticeahkie and Paul Ticeahkie; a sister, Pamela Pipestem; and her father, Clarence Pipestem.
