All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Fletcher Cemetery--Fletcher OK Comanche County Chronicle Juanita Thompson Written by: Hodge Funeral Home May 9, 1920 ~ January 23, 2005 FLETCHER- Funeral services for Juanita Thompson, 84, of Fletcher, were held Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Assembly of God Church, Fletcher, with Rev. Robert Whitley, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Thompson died Sunday, January 23, 2005 in a Lawton nursing center. Burial was in the Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. Mrs. Thompson was born May 9, 1920 in Elgin, OK to Jesse Kuntz and Bertha Jane (Wall) Kuntz. She attended Happy Hallow School and Elgin School and had lived in this area most all her life. Juanita worked as a cook in area cafés' and was also a housewife working on the farm. She had lived in her present home south of Fletcher since 1955 till becoming a resident of the Cyril nursing home in 2001 and to a Lawton nursing home in 2003. Juanita married Dewey Thompson, July 28, 1965 and were married over 30 years at his death in December 10, 1998. She was a long time member of the Fletcher Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a son, Ronnie Sherrill, 5 grandchildren; Crista Smiley and her husband, Scott, Michelle Sherrill, Michael Sherrill, Jeff Sherrill and Jennifer Sherrill. 2 great grandchildren; Erin Smiley and Allison Sherrill and numerous other relatives and friends.
