'Bill' Trierweiler Graveside service with military honors for retired Sgt. 1st Class Oliver W. "Bill" Trierweiler, 73, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fort Sill National Cemetery, near Elgin. Sgt. Trierweiler died Thursday, March 20, 2003, at a local hospital. Arrangements are by Becker Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 16, 1929 in Wausau, Wis., to Harry J. and Verna Trierweiler. He married Ruth E. Habeck on Nov. 28, 1952, in Pine City, Minn. He retired from the Army in September 1973. He served two tours in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 5263, and a member of the Lawton Saddle Club. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Trudy J. and Ronald Kastner, Lawton; three brothers: Harry Junior Trierweiler, Schofield, Wis.; Dennis Nelson, Wausau, Wis.; and Gordon Nelson, Hazelhurst, Wis.; five sisters: Katherine Roeske, Rosemary Felch and Margaret Foch, all of Wausau, Wis.; Shirley Schedler, Milwaukee, Wis.; and Marlene Nowak, Benzonia, Mich.; and three grandsons: Kayle Kastner, Kole Kastner and Kody Kastner, all of Lawton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Ron; and a brother, Douglas Nelson.
