All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 29 Nov 2003 Chester Wilkinson Funeral for Chester Wilkinson, 82, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Chapel of Howard-Harris Funeral Services, Lawton, with Stephen Wilkinson officiating. Mr. Wilkinson died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at his home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. He was born May 1, 1921, in Tarboro, N.C., to Willard Wilkinson and Sadie Andrews. He attended public school in Tarboro and entered the Army in 1943. He served during World War II as a quartermaster trucker and served during the Korean War as an artillery sergeant. He married Ona Mae Banks in 1943. He was a sanitation worker for the City of Lawton until his retirement. Survivors include two sons: Joseph Wilkinson, Rocky Mount, N.C.; and Stephen Wilkinson and his wife, Patrician, Lawton; an aunt, Lillie Mae Beaty and her husband, Lawrence, Lawton; five grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; two brothers-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
