All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 6 May 2003 Dee Walker Graveside service for Dee Walker, 78, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Sunset Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Lloyd Ashenfelter officiating. Mr. Walker died Monday, May 5, 2003, in Lawton. Arrangements are by Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. He was born March 23, 1925, in Vashti, Texas, to Opal Irene Mendenhall and Burt Walker. He married Eddie Lee Kelly on June 4, 1949, in Henrietta, Texas. He was a derrick operator for various oil companies. He was a member of the Baptist church and the Odd Fellows. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cindy Walker, Lawton; three daughters and a son-in-law: Shirley Ann Hartnitt, Grove; Glenda Kay Morris, Hohenwald, Tenn; and Deborah Walker Bohannon and Gary Bohannon, Chewelah, Wash.; six brothers: Bee Walker, Lawton; Grand Walker, Ceres, Calif.; and George Walker, C.A. Walker, Dan Walker and John Walker, all of Texas; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
