Mrs. Calfy died Friday, May 23, 2003, in Walters. Burial will be in Walters Cemetery under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Walters. She grew up in Walters and graduated from Walters High School. She married Robert Edward "Bob" Calfy on March 1, 1946. They farmed and ranched in the Walters area for many years. He died in 1992. She was employed as a seamstress at the Haggar Slacks Factory in Temple. Survivors include two sons: Edward Calfy and wife Patty, Walters; and Robert Charles Calfy, Altus; a daughter, Louise Teakell and husband Teddy, Walters; two brothers: David Hales, Oklahoma City and Sam Hales, Tecumseh; three sisters: Shirley Dowell, Duncan; Barbara Langford, Chickasha; and Helen Henage, Sterling; seven grandchildren: Jason, Kevin, Cayla Dana, Robert, Mac, Jodi, and Jennifer; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
