Cornforth, 79, of Duncan died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Souterland officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan. Family will met at 1107 Pine. They will greet friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Cornforth was born on July 18, 1922, in Walters to Charles Raymond and Margaret Dickerson Cornforth. He married Doreen Barrett on Jan. 30, 1945, in Victoria, Kan. Mr. Cornforth was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a supervisor for Sun Oil Refinery, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ernest Hay of Duncan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Linda Cornforth of Duncan, Randy and Melody Cornforth of Marlow; a brother, Raymond Jack Cornforth of Prior Lake, Minn.; five grandchildren, Kendra Gilson of Duncan, Kara and Craig Taliaferro of Edmond, Kayla Cornforth of Norman, David Kyle Cornforth of Marlow, Grant and Jodie Brown of Duncan; and a great-grandchild, Bailey Gilson of Duncan.
