Fletcher WALTERS — Funeral for Guy E. Fletcher, 77, Walters, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Walters, with the Rev. Richard Ayers officiating. Mr. Fletcher died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be at Walters Cemetery, Walters, under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters. He was born March 21, 1926, near Walters to Clarence Clow and Mary Lena Snyder Fletcher. He grew up in Walters and after high school he entered the Navy. He served his country during World War II. He married Mary Jo Snipes and they had two children. He later married Corella Haney on June 30, 1956, and they also had two children. Through the years, he worked for his dad at both the Minneapolis-Moline Dealership and the Farm Bureau Agency, before going to work for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in 1964. He retired in 1990 after 26 years as a toll booth attendant. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Walters. Survivors include his wife, of the home; five children: Cynthia Glidewell, Portage, Mich.; Kim Fletcher, Pearl River, La.; Larry White, Orange County, Calif.; Bruce Fletcher and Terri Hooper, both of Walters; two brothers: Russell Fletcher, Midwest City; and C.C. ‘Bugs’ Fletcher, Walters; nine grandchildren: Michelle and Bryce Hooper, Tim, Michael and Jonathan Glidewell, Chance and Dannie Fletcher, Tabitha Craley and Chelsea Brooks; and a great-grandchild, Taliah Glidewell. ========= Lawton Constitution 11 Nov 2003 Guy E.
