All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 5 Mar 2003 Quannah Griffin COOKIETOWN — Funeral for Quannah Griffin, 91, Cookietown, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Union Valley Baptist Church, Cookietown, with the Rev. Arbuary Ritter officiating. Mr. Griffin died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, in Walters. Burial will be at Randlett Cemetery under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters. He was born March 14, 1911, in Randlett, to James Edward "Jim Ed" and Lydia Foster Griffin. He grew up at Rabbit Creek, near Randlett and Walters. He married Nellie Ruth Malone on Oct. 23, 1932, in Duncan. They made their home at Cookietown, where they farmed. He was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Keith Griffin, Randlett; two daughters: Patsy Jane Minderman, Randlett; and Sandra Louise Kinder, Geronimo; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Joan Anderson; a brother, Foster Griffin; and a sister, Mabel Brown.
