Greenfield ARDMORE — Graveside service for former Walters resident Charles A. Greenfield, 81, Ardmore, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Walters Cemetery with Gary Hart officiating. Mr. Greenfield died Thursday, April 3, 2003 in Ardmore. Arrangements are by Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters. He was born April 29, 1921, in Paige County, Iowa, to Zay and Etta Mae Vance Greenfield. He grew up in Iowa, and married Doris Henderson. He married Nona Ruth Curtis of Frederick, Oct. 1, 1947. The family moved to Cotton County in 1956. He worked for the County and later operated a convenience store and pawn shop. He owned and operated combines and trucks for the wheat harvest. In 1979, they moved to Eagles Nest near Waurika Lake, until his health required him to move back to Walters in 1993. He moved to the Ardmore Veterans Center in 1999. Survivors include his wife of Walters: a son, Stanley Lamar Greenfield, Lawton; two daughters: Judith Ann Evans, Omaha, Neb; and Marina Dolores Gower, Temple; a brother, Paul Allen Greenfield, Billisca, Iowa; and a sister, Wilma Greenfield, Billisca, Iowa; eight granddaughters; 21 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
