Services were held January 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas. Scott Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ officated. O.L. was born, December 5, 1928 to James A. and Lillian Riney Hunt in Cotton County. After graduating Cheyenne High School, O.L. served two years in the armed forces before attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatheford, where he earned a degree in pharmacy. He married Novell Cude in 1950. He worked as a pharmacist in Hereford, Texas, later moving to Wichita Falls. O.L. then attended University of Texas at Houston's dental school. He started his dental practice in Wichita Falls and later moved to Olney in 1961 where he worked until his retirement in 1998. O.L. was a member of the Texas Dental Association and on the board of directors of the Olney Recreation Association. He was a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ. He loved his family and friends, and was a devoted husband and father. O.L. is survived by his wife of 54 years, Novell; his 3 children, Dennis and wife, Debra, of Beaumont, Texas, Celia Wheeler and husband, Newt, of Idalou, and Linda Hunt of Newman, GA; 2 sisters, Pricilla Mead of Woodward and Jewrell Crall of Weatherford; a grandson, Josh Hunt; 3 granddaughters, Amy DeeAnn Smith, Amy Chrisine Hunt and Laueen Lea Wheeler, and a great- grandchild.
