Hardin TEMPLE — Graveside service for Troy D. Hardin, 74, Temple, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Temple Cemetery. Mr. Hardin died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, in Temple. Arrangements are under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Temple. He was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Tatum, Texas, to Will and Ella Sparkman Hardin. He grew up in Tatum. He served in the Korean War from 1946 through 1949 and again in 1953. He married Opal Louise Avens on Sept. 7, 1950, in Henrietta, Texas. They lived in Temple and were married for 53 years. He was employed as a grader operator for Cotton County for 35 years. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Judy Hardin, Temple; two daughters and sons-in-law: Ella and Michael Taylor and Anita and Chris Hartman, all of Temple; a brother, James Hardin, Duncan; four grandchildren: Terri and Michael Hooper, Jon Kinder and Jeremy Kinder, all of Temple; and Amanda Palmer, Ringling; and four great-grandchildren: Bailey Hooper, Dillion Cargile, Aston Palmer and Zachary Palmer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Cotton County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/cotton/cotton.htm
