Born Aug. 13, 1920, in Randlett, Okla., Mr. Moyer had been a Woodland resident until he retired and sold his business. Woodland Backhoe Service, in 1989. At that time he moved to Oroville. According to his family members, "he enjoyed fishing and hunting. After retirement he spent winters in Bombay Beach, where he enjoyed riding his dune buggy and exploring the desert with many friends." Mr. Moyer is survived by his wife of six years, Pat Main Moyer of Oroville; children, Vickie Asher of Woodland, Barbara Streepy of Visalia, Tony Moyer of Woodland, and Gail Garcia of Chico; and grandchildren, Mike Rainsbarger, Kendra Whitehead, Stephanie Whitehead, Brian Whitehead, Scott Asher, Angie Moyer, Tammi Moyer, Bill Moyer, and Paula Moyer. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Moyer of Galt; sister, Mackie Pritchett of Porterville; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Moyer was preceded in death by his wife, Phelba Moyer; brother, E.F. Moyer and sister, Letha Mc Vey. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Scheer Memorial Chapel, 2410 Foothill Blvd., Oroville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, also at Scheer Memorial Chapel. There will also be a visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at McNary's Chapel in Woodland. A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Monument Hill Cemetery in Woodland. Scheer Memorial Chapel of Oroville is assisting the family with arrangements.
