Morriss was born in Erath Co. Texas May 25 1879 Died May 15 1930 At the Home of his daughter near Geronimo. He was a son of Rev. and Mrs Joe Morriss. He was married to Daisy Campbell at Denton Texas Aug 7th 1904. To this union where born 5 children (4 girls and 1 boy). He leaves to mourn his loss Mrs Morriss, Joe and Pansy all of Levelland Texas. Mrs Claud Roachell of Lookeba, Oklahoma. Mrs Joe McNeil, Geronimo, Mrs Naomi McClain of Walters, a sister Mrs C T Wratislaw, and son Lloyd, a cousin J. L. Morriss, all of Ringling ok. The deceased for several years made his home in Cotton Co, but two years ago he moved to Hockley Co. Texas, where his home was at the time of his death. He came back to Oklahoma on a visit and had a stroke of Paralysis and just lived several hours. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church, of Levelland, Texas. Funeral Services was conducted by Rev. Lewelling in the Funeral Home at Walters May 19 2:oopm and was laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetary. Those present for the funeral where Mrs Morris and Pansy, Mr and Mrs Claude Rooehill and 4 children Mr and Mrs Joe McNeil and 2 children Mrs Naomi McClain and 3 Children Mr and Mrs C. T. Wratislaw, Mr and Mrs LLoyd Wratislaw, J L Morris, and Mrs Ola Taylor. The son Joe was called to Nebraska on Business and did not recieve the news of his Fathers death in time to reach here for the Funeral. The Pall Bearers Jim Snyder, J D Adams, Marrion Townley, Bert Walker, Mr Sypes. Song Service was conducted by Mrs Lewelling, Mrs Armstrong, and Mrs Armstrong's daughter and sister. --------------------------------------------------------------------
