Otipoby Word has been received of the death of Robert L. Otipoby, 73, Lawton. Graveside service was Tuesday at Walters Cemetery with Dr. Ralph Alexander officiating. Mr. Otipoby died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, in Lawton. Arrangements were by Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters. He was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Lawton to Hugh and Louise Otipoby. He grew up in Elgin and served two years in the Navy. He married Mable Jean Coosewoon on Dec. 7, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from Oklahoma Barber College in 1955. He had a 40-year career as a barber and stylist. He owned Bob’s Hair Design in Lawton for most of those years. He served on different boards and judged many hair, fashion and beauty shows across the country including Los Angles and New York. He retired in 1995. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Georgann and Eugene Scott, Cache; and many other relatives and friends.
