All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 8 Oct 2004 Earl Ray Peery ARVADA, Colo. -- Funeral for former Walters resident Earl Ray Peery, 71, Arvada, Colo., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hart-Wyatt Chapel, Walters. Mr. Peery died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in Denver. Burial will be at Walters Cemetery. He was born March 9, 1933, in Walters to Willie Hickman and Maude Abigail Sykes Peery. He grew up in the Ahpeatone community, west of Walters, where he graduated in 1951. He spent the early years of his life in Oklahoma raising wheat and cotton. In the 1960s, he moved to Arvada, where he spent the rest of his life. He was a lifetime member of the Walters Masonic Lodge. Survivors include five children: Kaye Lynn Peery, Miami, N.M.; Michael Dean Peery, Rae Ann Peery and Kathleen Sue Hugg, all of Denver; and Tamara Jean Parker, Cincinnati; two sisters: Nola Pearl Shaffer, Oklahoma City; and Edna Eloise and her husband, Royce McGee, Davis; eight grandchildren; and seven nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.T. Peery; and a sister, Odell Allen.
