All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 3 Jan 2005 Roscoe Odis Row Sr., 84 A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Calera, for Roscoe Odis Row Sr., 84, Calera, who died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. Rev. Jacob Toews will officiate. He was born Friday, May 28, 1920, in Temple, Texas, to Roscoe Odis and Jessie (Porter) Row. He married Ruby Fay Ellett Dec. 23, 1940, in Mexia, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Calera and enjoyed farming, ranching and checking on his cattle. He was a member of the Calera Rising Star Lodge No. 129. He worked at First United Bank and Parker and Mitchell Refrigeration. He served in the Army from 1945-46, serving at Fort Bliss, Fort Ord, Fort Walters and Fort Hood. He loved to make his rounds for coffee, but spoiling his grandchildren was his favorite passion. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother Bruce Bewley; brothers-in-law Robert Honeycutt, Lee Ramsey, Sam Singleton and Bill Erickson; and sister Murtice Ellett. He is survived by son Roscoe Odis Row Jr. and wife Carolyn, Calera; daughter Fay Luke and husband Roger, Calera; sisters Neva Honeycutt, Big Springs, Texas, and Corrine Singleton, Texas; sisters-in-law Geneva Bewley, Cedarville, Ark., Mutt Ramsey, Marlin, Texas, Susie Ramsey and husband Jim, Humble, Texas, Sybil Erickson, Wayneville, Mo.; granddaughters Lisa Lake, Denison, Texas, Carrie Anderson, McKinney, Texas, Rebecca Luke, Calera, Erin Luke, Calera; grandson Frank Luke and wife Sandy, Springfield, Mo.; great-granddaughter Terri Pratt, Calera; great-grandson Patrick Lake, Calera; and great-great-grandchild Connor Locklear, Calera. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Calera, with pallbearers Glenn Goza, Bob Rogers, Royce Prentice, Calvin Winnett, Larry Conditt and Gene Mattingly. Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Rogers, Elmer Rogers, Harrison Luke, Bill Mynatt, Gary Forbis, William Fahrendorf, Buddy Manners and Cody Rochelle. Calera Rising Star Masonic Lodge No. 129 will perform graveside rites. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
