All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 13 Sep 1997 Lillian Roberson PLAINVIEW - Lillian Roberson, 79, of Denver City, a former resident of Plainview, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 1997. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Shawn Fouts, pastor, and the Rev. Randy Lawson, pastor of the Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Roberson was born and raised in Jackson, Okla., and attended school there. She married Wilburn Roberson in 1931 at Temple, Okla. He died in 1971. She moved to Plainview from Temple in 1949. She worked for the Plainview Independent School District in the cafeterias at Hillcrest, Ash and T- Bird. Mrs. Roberson was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include four daughters, Gloria McNutt of Hereford, Florene Carter of Denver City, and Joretta Wyatt and Claudetta Sanmann, both of Plainview; two sons, Melvin Roberson of Riverbank, Calif., and Don Roberson of Plainview; a brother, Ross Trest of Walters, Okla.; a sister, Delores Hawkins of Walters; 18 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Cotton County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/cotton/cotton.htm
