All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 16 Nov 2003 *Laura "Bea" Rogers WALTERS - Funeral for Laura "Bea" Rogers, 89, Walters, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Walters, with the Rev. Stan Baker officiating. Mrs. Rogers died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be at Walters Cemetery, Walters, under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters. She was born Aug. 6, 1914, in Washita County, to James Bascom and Edna Smith Ellis. She grew up in Washita County and married Marvin Franklin "Boney" Rogers on May 6, 1939, in Walters. He died Jan. 16, 1994. She was a hairdresser. They lived in Walters until moving to Duncan in 1952, where they lived for 11 years. They also lived in Tulsa and Okemah, until they retired, and moved back to Walters in 1975. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Walters.
