Roger Noland officiating. Mr. Spanhanks died Sunday, July 23, 2005, in Walters. Burial will be at Walters Cemetery under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 8, 1958, to Buster Lynn and Thelma Bernice Gibson Spanhanks in Wichita Falls, Texas. He came to Walters from Wichita Falls, Texas, as a boy. Through the years he has worked as a carpenter, making his home in Walters, Wichita Falls and Byers, Texas. He returned to Walters seven years ago. He was a member of Open Door Church of God. Survivors include a daughter, Reagan Nickerson and her husband, Andy, Duncan; three sons: Jason Spanhanks and his wife, Misty, Duncan; and Derek Spanhanks and Vincent Spanhanks, both of Mead; three sisters: Pat Spanhanks, Janice Bruton and Shelia Spanhanks, all of Walters; six grandchildren: Xzavier, Izaiah, Hunter, Harley, Michael and Jordan.
