Sartin 1882 - 1952 W.S. Sartin, 69 year old Walters man, died at his home Tuesday evening, February 19. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon from the Church of Christ with Rev. John J. Evans, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Walters Cemetery. Sartin was born in Montague County, Texas, in 1882. He was united in marriage with Ida Hobbs in 1902 in Eastern Oklahoma. Four children were born in this union. He worked in the oil fields in his younger days. He moved to Walters in 1930, was a former employee of the City park Department. He is survived by the widow and four children, Mrs. Donie Dickens of Dallas, Henry Sartin of Olney, Mrs. Eula Simington of Oklahoma CIty and Wesley Sartin, now stationed in Colorado Springs, in the Air Force. Other suviviors are six grandchildren and two brothers, Ralph and Jessie Sartin of Madill. -------------------------------------------------------------------
