Trice BIG SPRING, TEXAS - Graveside service for former Walters resident William G. Trice, 83, Big Spring, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walters Cemetery. Mr. Trice died Saturday, May 24, 2003, in Big Spring. Arrangements are by Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. He was born near Temple on April 27, 1920. He joined the U.S. Army in 1939 and served in the South Pacific, where he received the combat infantryman's badge. After his discharge in 1945, he moved to New York and became a merchant seaman. He retired to Texas after a 46-year career. Survivors include a brother, James "Buster" Trice, Midland, Texas; and a stepbrother, Gordon "Porkey" Trammell, Oklahoma City.
