Services were at 10 a.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum with Windell Taylor, chaplain at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, officiating. Arrangements were by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Wright was born in Walters, Okla. He served with the Army during World War II in Rhineland and Central Europe from 1942 to 1946. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and European/African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. Mr. Wright was a heavy-equipment operator and mechanic. He was a Baptist. He married Mattie Werner in 1966 in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Robert Gore of Dallas; four stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
