He was born June 19, 1921 in White Oak, Oklahoma to John and Sarah Bennett. He was known by his family and friends as Chase and Papa. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all he knew. His smile would brighten the gloomiest day and the twinkle in his eye would let you know everything would be all right. Charlie was survived by his wife of 62 years Bessie Bennett, daughter Sylvia and son in law Tom Harkins. Grandchildren: Marc Harkins, Vance and Trish Harkins, Michelle Grundy, Jeff Grundy and Maurene Potter. Great grandchildren: Misty Grundy, Heather Grundy, Andrew Harkins Potter, Jeremy Harkins Potter, Shane Harkins and Jordan & Lindsy Cullem. Charlie served his country during World War II from 1943 to 1945. He was preceded in death by a son John David, his parents, 6 brothers and one sister. He was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Friday April 25th @ 2:00 PM At Lone Star Baptist Church under direction of Baggerley Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial @ Memorial Park.
