Mrs. Brown was born Dec. 14, 1931 in Welch, the daughter of Alvin D. and Cora Mae ( Ross) Collins. She attended Welch School and was a lifetime resident of the Welch and Bluejacket areas. Brown was employed as a nurse's aide at Eastern State Hospital for 26 years. Her first husband, Clarence "Dink" Rogers, preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1980. She married Herman Brown in November 1982 in Bluejacket. Survivors include her husband, Herman Brown, of the home; her mother, Cora Mae Collins, Vinita; one son, Jerry Rogers, Bluejacket; and three daughters, Shirley Walker, Welch; Mary Jo Wilson, Velma, Okla.; and Rita Fromm, Atlanta, Ga. Other survivors include two step-sons, David Brown, Bluejacket; and Harvey Brown, Vinita; four step-daughters, Gail Brown, Miami; Katherine Speers, Wyandotte; Billye Washington, Southwest city, Mo.; and Roxanne Henson, London, England; one brother, Leonard Collins, Coffeyville, Kan.; one sister, Erma Palmer, Afton, eight grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. In addition to her first husband, Brown was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Brown Funeral services for Francis Corinne Brown, 55, Bluejacket, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, Welch, with the Rev. Lloyd Carter officiating.
