Everitt, 76, of Chetopa, KS died at 11:25 am Friday, Nov 17, 1989, at the Oswego Memorial Hospital, Owswgo, KS, after a long illness. He was born Jan 9, 1913, at Hallowell, Cherokee Co, KS, to Charles and Lula Mae (Plummer) Everitt. He had been a farmer and had lived in the Chetopa area for the past 36 years. He attended the Faith Baptist Church of Chetopa, Labette Co, KS. He was married to Rue Stice on May 17, 1953, at Bentonville, AR. She survives of the home. Survivors include: three step-sons, Jim Mount and Gene Ross, both of Chetopa, Labette Co, KS, and Donald Ross of AZ; a step-daughter, Wylma Peace of Chetopa, Labette Co, KS; a step-sister, Myrtle Lack of Centerville; 11 step-grand children; 16 step-great geandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren. A step-son and a brother, preceded him in death. The service was today at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel of Welch, Craig Co, OK, with Rev. Raymond Whetstone officiating.
