Hilderbrand Edward Clifford Hilderbrand, a former Vinita resident, passed away Friday in a Coffeyville, Kan., hospital. He was 61 years old. Hildrebrand wasa born Sept. 16, 1913 at Ottumwa, Iowa and came to Vinita as a small child with his family. He received his education in Vinita and was employed in farm and ranch work in this area before moving to Coffeyville, Kan., in 1933. He was a welder for many years and retired in 1973. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and Boilermakers and Blacksmith's Local No. 83 of Kansas City, Mo. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Devery Mae Hilderbrand, of the home; one son, Charles W. Wallace, of the home; three brothers, Henry C. Hilderbrand, Vinita, Freeman Hilderbrand, Valeda, Kan., and John Hilderbrand, Ontario, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Ironside, Mrs. Freda Longtail, Mrs. Lottie Altebaumer, Mrs. Marie Bresnehen and Mrs. Dorothy Bennett, all of Vinita and three grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Edna, Kan., with Rev. Donald D. Williams officiating.
