The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ---------------------------------------------------------- Vinita Daily Journal May 28, 1945 JOHNSON , Arley Winfield Arley Winfield JOHNSON, 48, passed away at his home in Vinita, May 27, 1945, after a long illness, originating from a coal mining accident in the 1920s near Bluejacket, Okla, which left him with a broken back and spine. Mr. JOHNSON was born August 22, 1896 in Modena, Mercer Co. Mo. to Newt JOHNSON (who predeceased him earlier this year in March) and Eliza Jane McQUERRY. Other survivors besides his mother and nephew, Melvin JOHNSON, of the home, are one brother, Arthur of Ponca City, Okla, three sisters; Leona DOERFLINGER and Inez CROCKETT, both of Vinita, and Cloe TARTAR of Spearman, Tx. Funeral services will be held at the Luginbuel chapel, with Rev. R. P. Loudermilk officiating, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
