All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Kessler, William Wayne WILLIAM WAYNE KESSLER, age 80, died August 2, 2002. He was born March 20, 1922 in Welch, Oklahoma to W. Glen and Grace Kessler. Bill graduated from North High School in Wichita, Kansas. He attended college at Wichita State prior to going into the Marine Corps. He served in World War II in the Pacific Theatre and received the Purple Heart, and later served in the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma following the Korean Conflict, leaving the Corps as a Captain. He was employed by Carter Oil, Humble Oil, and retired from E07on as an Exploration Geologist. Bill had a love for tennis, golf, and gardening, and was a past officer and member of Riverbend Country Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jeanne Neale, the mother of his three children, and his sister, Margaret Cady. Survivors include his wife, Muriel of Sugar Land, TX; daughters, Margaret Weaver of Austin, TX, and Karen McClure of Houston, TX; son, Neale Kessler of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Delaney Weaver, Denton Weaver, and Casey McClure; and numerous family members. A Memorial Celebration of Bill's life was held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 5, 2002 in the Chapel of Earthman Funeral Directors Southwest, 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, TX, with the Rev.
