All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Memorial Park Cemetery--Bartlesville OK Vinita (Ok) Daily Journal, Page 268 March 1988 O'Gara Mrs. Flossie Mae O'Gara, 80, former Vinita resident, died Monday, Feb. 22 in the Humana West Anaheim Hospital, Anaheim, Calif. after a long illness. Mrs. O'Gara was born Feb. 17, 1908 in White Oak, the daughter of John M. and Mattie Jane (Hampton) Sweatman. She grew up in the White Oak area and attended school there. She married Flavious G. O'Gara in 1926 and the couple made their home in Vinita, Bartlesville and Afton prior to moving in Tucson, Ariz. in 1953. Mr. O'Gara died in 1973 and a short time later Mrs. O'Gara moved to Anaheim. Survivors include one son, Flavious C. O'Gara, Jr., Bartlesville; two daughters, Barbara Sikes, Baxter Springs, Kan.; and Elizabeth Hill, Anaheim; two brothers, milford Sweatman, Bartlesville; and John Lewis Sweatman, Hot Springs, Ark.; one sister, Ola Shank, Seiling, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. A brother-in-law, Vernon O'Gara, Vinita, also survives. Funeral se rvices for Mrs. O'Gara were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp Golden Rule Funeral Home, Bartlesville.
