Pool Kermit Luther Pool, a longtime Livermore resident, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 at home. Kermit was born Jan. 11, 1943 in Vinita, Oklahoma to James & Billie Jean Pool. He served his country in the Marine Corps and retired after 31 yrs. as a foreman with PG&E. In his leisure time, Kermit enjoyed camping at Pinecrest, traveling with his wife on cruises & day trips and working in his garden. He also enjoyed woodworking and was active with the Boy Scouts when his children were young. He was known as the family cook. He always prepared the holiday meals for his family. One of his most favorite times was taking his family on their annual snow trip to Arnold. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who adored his grandchildren. Kermit is survived by his loving wife of 42 yrs., Carol Pool, and his children Mark Pool & wife Darcie of Castroville and Gail Shimozono & husband Shawn of Livermore. Also surviving are his sisters Jean Robertson of OK, Carol Rios of Oakley, CA and his brother Steve Pool of NV. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren Raney, CJ, Katie and Jeremy. Memorial services will take place on Friday, 3/24/06 at 1pm at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel in Livermore. Burial will be private. Donations can be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
