Medford Mail Tribune, OR 05-17-2001 Elmer "E.D." Sult, 96, of Phoenix, died Monday (May 14, 2001) at Hearthstone. No service is planned. He was born May 3, 1905, in Welch, Okla. In 1925, in Pawnee, Okla., he married Freda J. Courtney, who preceded him in death. On March 8, 1933, in Wichita, Kan., he married Margaret Faye Addington, who preceded him in death. Mr. Sult began his career as a bus driver with Trailways in 1939. He retired in 1971 with two million miles without an accident. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from Arnett, Okla. Mr. Sult enjoyed repairing clocks, fishing and computers. Survivors include two sons, Donald Gene, Austin, Texas, and Gale Courtney, Pittsview, Ala.; three brothers, Will Sult, Eagle Point, Jack Sult, Talent, and Victor Blackwell, Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marvel Sult and Mildred Horne; a brother, Claude Sult; and a grandson.
