All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Columbia Memorial Gardens--Pasco WA Blackwell Sr., Perry Ozel Columbia Memorial Chapel Perry Ozel Blackwell Sr. was born September 27, 1927, in Creek County, Bristow, Oklahoma, to Harvey and Ella Blackwell. They preceded him in death. Perry Blackwell was a member of Saint James CME Church of Pasco, Washington. He was a Past Master of the Masons Lodge. He held 32 degrees in the upper house. He worked for 20 years on construction in Casper, Wyoming. In 1969, he moved back to Pasco, Washington, where he worked construction as a Laborer. He was the Director of Minorities for the construction apprentice trade. His last five years he worked as a custodian for the Welfare Department of Washington state. He retired in 1993 at the age of 65 years. He took care of his beloved wife Panzie Lee Blackwell until her passing in 1995. He has three sisters: Mary Covington, Dorothy Blackwell and Dore Brown, who all preceded him in death. His earthly life came to and end on Saturday, August 25, 2007, in Kennewick, Washington. Forever cherishing his memory is one son: Perry Ozel Blackwell Jr., a daughter-in-law Aline T. Blackwell of Slidell, LA; granddaughter Lateefah Blackwell of Baton Rouge, LA; grandsons Kirk Davenport of Vancouver, B.C.; Leon Jackson of Pasco, WA; Robin Davenport of Slidell, LA; 12 great-grandchildren; host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held Friday, August 31, 2007, at Columbia Memorial Chapel in Pasco, WA, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held for Mr. Blackwell on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at St. James CME Church in Pasco, WA, beginning at 11:00 a.m.. The burial will immediately follow at Columbia Memorial Gardens in Pasco, WA. Donations can be made to American Heart Association in Perry's name or to the St. James CME Church in Pasco, WA.
