All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Ola Cemetery--Ola ID Chavez, Anita Joyce Services for Anita Joyce Chavez 82 of Emmett, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. Burial will follow at the Ola Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Anita was born on May 19, 1924 at Shamrock, Okla. She was reared and educated in the Alton, Mo. area. She married Richard S. Carlock on March 20. 1945 at Vancouver, Wash. They worked in the ship yards in Portland. Later they moved to Ola, Idaho where Richard was from. They owned and operated a saw mill until the time of his death. Anita married Tony Chavez on Aug. 30, 1976. Anita worked as a CNA at Holly Hills, Emmett Care Center, and at Walter Knox Memorial Hospital. She also did private home care for many years. Anita loved to cook, and her apple and cherry pies were wonderful. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher there for many years. Mr. Chavez died in Sept. of 2006. Anita is survived by her daughter Janet Thiellen of Emmett, grandchildren Theodore Riley, and Tangie Riley, great-grandchildren; Richard Samuel Riley, Tasha Thiellen, Christina, Jessica, Victoria, Kimberly, Christopher and Dannelle; sisters; Mella Belle Smith of Bozeman, Mont., Loretta Kay Booth of Montgomery, Ala. and Onetta Woods of Phoenix, Ariz. brothers; William Stone of Emmett and Ralph Pruitte of Shamrock, Okla. She was proceded in death by four sisters, one brother and a grandson.
